EURO

Welcome to the CR-Corporation Euro Homepage. This part of the website is dedicated to the European money that was introduced in 2002.

Introduction
The Euro, the new currency of Europe has been succesfully introduced in 2002. Twelve European countries (all EU-members) chose in 1992 in the Dutch city of Maastricht to participate in the EMU (European Monetarian Union). This means that these countries had to give up their own currency and replace it with an international currency for Europe, the EURO.

E-Day, 1 January 2002. From this day 12 European currencies were replaced by the Euro. Everyone who ever visited a country with a different currency than your own, knows that (especially in the beginning) it is hard to get used to the currency. What is expensive and what is cheap? You cannot do some quick calculations in your head (certainly not when the conversion-rate is difficult). Therefore the CR-Corporation started years ago with a calculator specially made for Euro-conversions and the currencies related to it.

When the Euro was less than three months away, the CR-Corporation revised the last version completely. The new version is a result of changing the programming-code completely and using experiences from previous versions. The result is an even more functional version of our famous Euro-conversion program: CR-EUROCHANGE 5.0.

Previous versions were only released in Dutch, but this new version has multilingual support for:
* International English;
* French;
* German;
* Dutch.

On this webpage the CR-Corporation will keep you informed of revisions and extra tools. In this new version of CR-Eurochange the 12 currencies of the Euro-participating countries are programmed as standard, but it is also possible to add your own currencies (like US-dollar, Japanese Yen, UK-pound, etc.). Updated files for these standard 'big' currencies are downloadable from here. With them, the images of other currencies (flags).

And above all - the program itself!

CR-Eurochange is completely free. You may download it and copy it as much as you like. See 'help' in the program for more information on this issue.

The CR-Corporation tries to create programs in a way that every user can work with it without any problems. If you find strange things (probably bugs) please report them to the CR-Corporation. But if you have suggestions on the program, things that could be better, please report them too! In that way we can adapt our version and make it even more user-friendly.
